Having a high quality LCD projector opens up worlds of possibilities for education, and I couldn't be happier with this projector. It's also night and day going from the small 15" wide-screen LCD TV I had at my disposal (from the church) to an 86" projection screen (of course, you could go much bigger if you have the room!). There are a multitude of options, including 5 or so "color modes" for different viewing situations, including projecting onto a whiteboard or blackboard! Controls are fairly intuitive. Projector can be shut down and unplugged without having to let the fan run to cool down (though I would recommend letting the projector cool in the open for a couple minutes at least instead of immediately stuffing it in the case). It's clear and bright, easy to setup and adjust when needed, and automatically adjusts for keystoning - I'm not sure how it does it, but it works. It's lightweight and easy to carry around with all needed cables and remote in the provided bag. Viewing images from a USB stick is a breeze, though it's limited to JPEG images and it would be nice to be able to run PowerPoint slides from the USB stick. I use the HDMI cable to connect to my laptop, but there are VGA and RCA type inputs for when others need to connect. I did have a problem after about four months of regular use - the blue channel was lost completely, turning everything a horrible shade of yellow. One quick call to Epson (they include a priority support number and code for fast access) and they shipped a new model overnight.
