I can trace without blacking out every light source! Grids: I love to use the grids to "square up" the projector. They can be displayed even if no input is available (so you can square up the projector before showing a picture). Connects via HDMI to my laptop. I use it as a 2nd (extended) monitor and set the resolution to any 4:3 in the list. (FYI, this is a 4:3 projector that squishes widescreen resolutions). This works great. Can display JPEGs from subfolders on a USB key. Is very small and light. Connects to my tripod. The misses: No zoom: The lens has no zoom ability, so you have to move the projector in order to make the projected image larger or smaller. Card reading: The unit reads SD cards through an awkward adapter that plugs into... I had the game projected on a wall in my house. That is COOOL! I also wanted to have more grids, but I was able to make my own using Microsoft Excel and was able to project a more detailed grid for outlining my project. I saw an artist a couple weekends ago doing a projection of his own artwork onto two large canvases and he was working indoors (which I could never do with the Super Prism). I like that I can paint big, using my own artwork, and not worry about losing ratio or perspective. When I'm not using this for painting, I'm definitely going to be watching tv or playing Guitar Hero with this! No-Slip adjustment system allows you to quickly and easily fine tune your projector adjustments in order to achieve a perfectly square image. Once your projector is adjusted, it will stay true for as long as you require it to. The unique arm designed arms allows the safe installation for expensive projectors, and it offers adjustment for width and depth, giving maximum versatility for a wide variety of projectors. The mounting system comes with everything you need to assemble a complete mount in a single box. By using the included telescoping ceiling mask, this mount extends from the ceiling 16.9" to 25.6". How can I determine if this mount will fit my projector? Projectors may have 3, 4 or 5 threaded holes for ceiling mount. First make sure that the projector does not exceed the 44lb weight limit. Next, find out the maximal diagonal of the holes. It should not be over 12.5". In other words, if the distance of any 2 out of the 3, 4 or 5 holes is not more than 12.5", then the mount should fit fine. If your projector has holes more than 12.5" apart, you need extra extender (sold separately in our Amazon store ASIN: B0036828KS) which can cover an area up to 17 inch in diameter.

This was my first every Projector installation and i chose this over numerous others because this mount seemed to have multiple axis caliberation options and i was right. The mount itself is nice and compact - good quality and very sturdy. I mounted Optoma HD20 - It took me a few mins to figure out how to align the base clamps to fit the 3 mounting holes under HD20 (Had to reverse one of the inner clamps) and it fit perfect. I think in the earlier reviews, where ever the reviewers have mentioned that assembly was required or it did not fit the projector right out of the box - well - its a universal mount, and YOU have to figure out how best to utilize it. All the bolts/hardware needed for my installation care right out of the box. After aligning and tightening the screws, there is no projector shift or movement. I rate this product 5 stars. Application: I bought this for use with my Epson 8100 projector to be mounted to a 9 foot high ceiling in my basement. The good: The manufacturer/vendor takes care to ensure you have all of the required mounting hardware for any of the configurations which this piece can be used. Every screw, nut, bolt, washer, bushing, etc was accounted for in the pack. Although not needed for my application, it included a telescoping pole for vaulted ceiling mount. I should note, that even with this piece included it was still priced lower than others that did not include this option. The black color is ideal for blending in. The design of the mount makes it very versatile and adjustable. I appreciated that when I was mounting the projector. The design is such that it allows you to pivot the project at three separate points. This was very useful when aligning the projector to the screen. The bad:... Never aim the device close to people that may look into it! The casing is smaller than I expected, about the size of a sandwich. The brushed blue aluminum gives it a sturdy feel and look. The package came with the blue laser box, a tripod stand, AC adapter, and instructions. The attached bracket has a hole in the top for easy mounting with your own screws. Standing in the kitchen in the afternoon, I unpacked everything, screwed in the flexible tripod legs to the base, and plugged in the adapter. No light show yet. The back of the unit has several tiny switches that are not simply marked, but easily figured out. The main switch turns it on, another makes it strobe on/off, and a dial-controller changes the speed of rotation of the pattern. The speed control can go all the way to 'stop' so the patterns don't move. A slow setting on the speed control will make it...
