Bought it from Sam's Club in 2006. I burned three bulbs already! No matter what you do, the bulb will not last longer than 1500 hours. It is not a bad projector, but the bulb reliability makes it a very expensive projector. I spent $1200 on bulbs for a projector that cost $600.

I've had mine for over 3 years, and it's taken that long to burn out the first bulb. I like the versatility of connections and projection modes (rear, ceiling, etc). Portable enough that I have used during office meetings with my laptop. Bright enough (2000 lumens) to see nicely during daylight hours (I had an older sharp projector with only 800 lumens, and even with curtains closed, I couldn't see it during the daytime)

My only beef with this product is that it breaks when the power goes out. It happened to me 3 times now: First time was my fault (knocked plug out), second time was a blackout, third time I had a UPS hooked up and it still crashed hard!

Now that it's out of the 3-year warranty, Sharp wants me to pay #100 just to have it assessed ...that includes return postage fees. Last 3 times it was in their shop (under warranty) they had to replace "Bi-metals"

no thanks... I'm shopping for something else.
